A "stablecoin whirlwind" is sweeping Japan and the United States.
In June 2025, Circle, the largest regulated stablecoin issuer, listed on the US stock market.
The following month, in July, the GENIUS Act was passed in the United States, establishing rules for the issuance and operation of stablecoins by private companies. Rumors are circulating that businesses such as Amazon and Walmart will also be issuing their own stablecoins. In Japan, JPYC registered as a money transfer business on August 18, 2025. Other businesses are also accelerating their stablecoin initiatives.
How will the global payment market change with stablecoins now fully participating? This time, we will focus on the potential for widespread adoption in the payment sector and consider the impact. - Contents
